Hood wurde tats\u00e4chlich das n\u00f6rdlichste Ziel unserer Reise. Schon viele schneebedeckte Vulkane haben wir auf der Strecke nach Norden gesehen, aber mit dem Mt. Hood kann es selbst Mt. Shasta nicht aufnehmen, wie ich finde. Er sieht halt aus wie der perfekte Berg, und schon etliche Kilometer vor Ankunft dominierte er den Horizont. Wir suchten uns eine Rundwanderung \u00fcber 12 km zum Ramona-Wasserfall aus. Hier ist es recht frisch, und der K\u00fcstenstreifen ist mit Meeresnebel verschleiert. Das kennen wir schon aus Chile und aus San Francisco.
