Die Stadt, welche seit dem Jahr 994 Stadtrecht besitzt, wartet mit einer Vielzahl von Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten auf. 1994 brachte ihr das den <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/UNESCO-Welterbe\">Weltkulturerbetitel <\/a>ein. \u00dcber 2.000 Fachwerkh\u00e4user sind zu sehen, das Renaissance-Rathaus, die <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Quedlinburger_Roland\">Roland-Statue<\/a>, alte Keller, Gew\u00f6lbe, Barocks\u00e4le und nat\u00fcrlich Kirchen. Zur <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stiftskirche_St._Servatius_(Quedlinburg)\">Stiftskirche <\/a>auf dem Schlossberg f\u00fchrte uns heute Morgen der erste Weg. Das Geb\u00e4ude\u00a0 war fr\u00fcher Kirche des <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stift_Quedlinburg\">Quedlinburger Damenstiftes<\/a>, in der Krypta liegen bis heute die sterblichen \u00dcberreste <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Heinrich_I._(Ostfrankenreich)\">Heinrichs des I.<\/a>, welcher 936 verstarb. Deshalb wurde die Kirche unter <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Heinrich_Himmler\">Heinrich Himmler<\/a> von der SS konfisziert und zu einer &#8222;SS-Weihest\u00e4tte&#8220; umfunktioniert. Hier soll selbiger mit der ihm eigenen Art von Gr\u00f6\u00dfenwahn mit K\u00f6nig Heinrich I. Zwiesprache gehalten haben. F\u00fcr die Nazis war Heinrich ein sp\u00e4tgermanischer F\u00fchrer und eine Stifterfigur des deutschen Volkes. Leider darf man in der Krypta nicht fotografieren, wohl um zu verhindern, dass die Ewiggestrigen sich hier ablichten.<\/p>\n<p>Interessant ist die Geschichte des <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Domschatzkammer_Quedlinburg\">Domschatzes von Quedlinburg<\/a>, welcher heute als einer der bedeutendsten Sch\u00e4tze Deutschlands gilt. Der vorwiegend aus Reliquen bestehende Schatz wurde 1945 von einem amerikanischen Leutnant gestohlen und per Feldpost in die USA gebracht. Erst 1993 kam er nach einer Odyssee fast vollst\u00e4ndig wieder zur\u00fcck. Leider auch hier Fotografierverbot, aber wie so oft ist die Geschichte des Schatzes interessanter als die klunker\u00fcbers\u00e4hten Reliquien.<\/p>\n<p>Nach einem St\u00fcck K\u00e4sekuchen in der K\u00e4sekuchenschmiede und einem ausgedehnten Spaziergang durch die Altstadt fuhren wir zur\u00fcck nach Hause.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12215\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12215\"
